In 2005, I edited a book for Feral House called "Sin-A-Rama: Sleaze Sex Paperbacks of the Sixties." The vintage oddities in my collection include victoriana, sideshow, medical, and kitsch. I am also an amateur sewer, making clothing from vintage mod patterns.

I'm with 100%, Astrid! The covers George Gross did for these detective mags and sleazy digests from 1948-52 are simply amazing! I was lucky enough to visit George twice in the 1990's and at first he was sort of embarrassed by this work, but when I told him how great it was and how many people were nuts about he changed his mind and I helped him build a binder of all the covers I had.

That's awesome that you were able to convey to Gross just how great he was. I'm glad he knew how appreciated he was. Coz, I think I've bought some stuff from you on eBay as well. Great items!
